Film Project #3 / Canon QL17 / Fuji Superia 400

Hi friends!

Remember Canon QL17, purchased from Nagoya? My first film roll may have failed, but I ultimately finished my second roll of Fuji Superia 400, and got it developed. To be honest, the pictures were pretty disappointing (not as I expected it to look like). Considering it as a first time failure, I shall continue trying to master taking good film pictures.

↑ This picture was not what I’ve expected, and I’m so upset. Not what I pictured it to be… Wished it was a moment I could have aced it in film!

↓ Also, needed a trip somewhere, so I woke up early one day and went to IKEA for some meatballs, and aesthetically pleasing interior.

Aaaaaaand I also made a huge decision to return home aka Singapore. It wasn’t an easy one, but I knew I had to. That was where my heart led me. It’s been two weeks home now, so I’m still coping with the transition. I’m going to give myself more time. (And actually one of the week was spent in Japan (yes, I visited Japan AGAIN) So fret not, as more developed film rolls to be uploaded.)

Film Project #2 / Kodak FunSaver

Cheers to another Sunday!

Weather in Seoul today is late Spring: chilly and drizzling. Yesterday was a pleasure as the sun was out and shining. Tropical me still misses the heat, especially when I’ve stayed through the whole Winter, and the blues were getting to me.

My second film project started off with a walk around my old neighborhood one day, where I coincidentally skipped school and thought I would stay in. The snow got me out of the house with my disposable film in hand, and here I am, able to share nature’s beauty.

I’m not sure what content I can come up with next, but I’m trying to brainstorm for more projects I can commit to. Not going to lie, I’ve been struggling in my daily grind without anything creative.

We shall see.
Life will work out.
Just keep going.

Film Project #1 / Fujifilm Quicksnap

Happy Sunday!

I set myself up for two creative projects last Fall/Winter, so I went ahead to get two disposable cameras. I think film allows you to capture the moment much better than a digital, because you know there’s ‘no going back.’ I also felt like I’ve lived my moments in all these pictures.

A backstory was one of my friend, Anh wanted to fly a kite for the first time and it was more challenging than expected. Everyone around us were flying kites successfully as the winds casted them away into the clouds, while we struggle with taking flight.

p/s. We still made it in the end!

I also made it to Fashion Week S/S 2018. Not the best idea to have a disposable film camera, since nothing could be captured. But the fashion buzz were a pleasure.

A lovely Spring day at Yeouido

Hello to the colors of nature slowly filling its way into Spring and Summer! Its been awhile since I have did anything with my camera… I had an inspiration block because, life was hard on me, and I was hard on myself. Hereby concluding that I am finally back in the game, or finally inspired to be back!

Its my third Spring in Korea, yet its my first time at Yeouido for the Spring Flower/Cherry Blossom Festival. As you might know how Spring is related to falling in love, where couples are filled to the brim in such activities, and everyone is warned. However, despite the circumstances that you would often hear if you mention about the Cherry Blossoms at Yeouido, I have finally manage to brace the ‘love crowd.’

Contemplation in Winter

IMG_3094

It was snowing slightly yesterday so I ran out to my hideout to get a winter version asap! Recently, the winter depression I’ve been getting has been… pretty bad… especially after I started living alone. I have to admit, it’s been tough.

Also, last night while I was packing my stuff, I accidentally stood up really quick and hit the opened closet door situated above, suffered the most intense pain I’ve ever felt and had an emotional breakdown right after. But today I woke up, and felt like my mind was clearer than any other days.

However, say goodbye to bad winter days (according to the forecasts of -10 degrees and below), because I am heading to Hong Kong tomorrow! I am taking an evening flight, with my friend who is returning home, and my brother will be joining the next day. This explains why I am packing my stuff.

Ready to rumble!

Fall Moods

2015-11-15 10.00.21 1

A certain time of the year, especially when the seasons are changing, I will make an effort to go to my ‘hideout.’ It is a place I really enjoy hanging out with myself.

It is a tiny ‘forest’-like area, full of nature and calmness. Every season brings a wonderful picturesque setting. Since I only found it this year, I look forward to how its like in the Winter, especially after it snows.

It was a peaceful Sunday, and I have been waiting for non-cloudy days since forever, but that Sunday was the best day I could get for the fall foliage this year. I continued my me-time with more walking, around the canals.

It was a really nice, and peaceful Sunday.

Can’t believe its time to say goodbye to Fall, and hello to Winter. Before we know it, its going to be next year. Time flies.
